Emerge Hub CIO run a yearly, level 2 equivalent, training course for professionals who work with marginalised groups.
This course is a 16-week, 3 hours per week classroom-based introduction to person-centred counselling skills and a trauma informed approach to working with recovery from addictions.
This course will equip you with knowledge and a set of skills which will enable you to be more effective within roles working with recovery as well as other occupational helping roles e.g. support workers etc. The course focus is on theory and knowledge, practical application and skills practice, self-awareness and personal development.
To pass, students must:

Show evidence of personal development
There are no assignments although you will be given a journal which will contribute to evidencing your personal development.
Each unit is 4 weeks with a free week between units to practice and embed knowledge.
